2012 Golden Globes Red Carpet

Obviously everyone has an opinion when it comes to red carpet fashion. In case you were curious about mine from the Golden Globes last night-

I couldn't possibly single out one look as my best dressed of the evening. So, in a show of how fickle and indecisive I am, I picked three!

Nicole Kidman in Versace
Beautiful embellishments on a truly knockout silhouette that surprisingly works really well for her.
It's sexy, in that kind of Versace sexy way.

Emma Stone in Lanvin
Honestly, the eagle belt is what did it in for me.
In addition to two-toned plum and fuschia goddess gown and her flawless hair and makeup.

Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci Premiere
Multimedia green scales-to-feather gowns get interesting!
Along with her slicked back hair, she looks absolutely and beautifully striking.

In a tier of nearly top-rated looks-

Tilda Swinton in Haider Ackermann
In general, I love her approach to androgyny.
I especially love that she's wearing Haider Ackermann!

Claire Danes in J. Mendel

Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci

CFDA Fashion Awards: Astonishing Actresses

So many beautiful actresses in beautiful dresses.

Lucy Liu in Monique Lhuillier
It's almost bridal. And it's my favorite (overall look)!

Chloe Sevigny in her own design
She has got the most unique and refined sense of style.
Which makes sense that she'll be designing her own line. How exciting!

Kirsten Dunst and Leelee Sobieski
Heh, they're both in suits and the same pose.
I must say I'm loving Kirsten's more tailored, black suit. With the lapels, it's so high fashion.

Judith White
I love the green!

Kerry Washington and Naomi Watts in Calvin Klein
Francisco Costa is so adorable.

Liv Tyler in Proenza Schouler

CFDA Fashion Awards: Marvelous Models

I guess I would liken the annual Fashion Awards for the Council of Fashion Designers of America to the Academy Awards of the fashion universe; really, it's all about showcasing your label's designs on the red carpet for the world to see.

I kid, I kid. Well kind of. I mean look at how marvelously beautiful the models looked tonight.

Alessandra Ambrosio in Prabal Gurung
Ugh, she's so freaking hot. I'm calling her my best dressed because she's so freaking hot.

Chanel Iman in Max Azria
This I love.

Liya Kebede in Derek Lam

Doutzen Kroes in J. Mendel

Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors
What a sassy mom, seriously!

Hana Soukupova in Marchesa

Karolina Kurkova in Diane von Furstenberg
I think the hood is a really fun touch... on top of the green sequins.

Karlie Kloss in Jason Wu. Evidently.

Also, Proenza Schouler's Jack McCoullough and Lazaro Hernandez won Womenswear Designer(s) of the Year. Wonderful!

Cannes 2011 and Versace

And so the couture at Cannes continues.

It's pretty clear that Donatella's style is very provocative and alluring. As a result, I always have really strong reactions, good and bad, when I see one of her looks. In these cases, all good. Fan Bing Bing undeniably stole the carpet(s), with an ombre purple chiffon gown, and once again with a salmon silk organza gown. Cheers to the Chinese actress!

This is all Atelier Versace, by the way.

Fan Bing Bing
At the The Artist premiere.

At the Wu Xia premiere.

Angelina Jolie
At the Tree of Life premiere (obviously.)

Elizabeth Banks
At the amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala.

I'll admit, Elizabeth Banks' dress was a bit questionable to begin with. But the more I look at it, the more I enjoy how cheeky it is.

Cannes 2011 and Armani

One day, when I'm a grown up, I'll find my way to the Cannes Film Festival. But for now, I'll have to settle on seeing everyone else there, including the red carpet starlets in all their couture glory.

Signore Giorgio's creations made a few different appearances throughout, which raises the question: will there ever be an Armani Privé that I don't like?

Zoe Saldana
At the Tree of Life premiere. (Btw, does Brad Pitt = Oscar?)

Aishwarya Rai
At the Sleeping Beauty premiere.

Karolina Kurkova
At the opening ceremony and Midnight in Paris premiere.

Kate Beckinsale
At the amFAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala.

Ahh, brings me back to Anne Hathaway at the Golden Globes.
